Lutherans in Africa serves to equip African pastors and pastoral candidates with solidly Lutheran theology so that the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ may be proclaimed faithfully to the many hungry souls across the African continent.
In addition to running teaching seminars in up to 20 different African countries, LIA is currently building a seminary outside Nairobi Kenya to enable this work to be multiplied into the future.
We are privileged to partner with LIA - both through support of their mission and through the blessing of resources and teaching that comes our way! The director, Pastor James May Jnr, is a dear friend of our congregation and we are blessed to have him visit from time to time.
Lutherans in Africa - Australia Inc is the Australian fund raising arm of this mission. They exist to raise funding and other support for the important work of LIA. The board of LIA-Australia Inc is made up of:
